Give Me Five

Five new resoures to breathe fresh air into your children's ministry...

Give Me Five!

by Ryan Frank

I love my iPhone. I keep finding new apps that make life and work easier. A single new app on my iPhone can breathe a ton of fresh air into my day-to-day routine. As a children’s pastor, new resources do the same thing for my ministry—they serve as a breath of fresh air. It’s amazing how one new song, one new game, one new visual can take a Sunday morning from ho-hum to wow! I am constantly on the lookout for new children’s ministry products that knock it out of the ballpark. Here are a few inexpensive resources I found recently.

Jed and Roy McCoy

This great new resource is part of the Show & Tell Storytelling Kits from Zonderkidz. These kits are a fun new way to tell stories from the Bible. I used one last Sunday in kids’ church, and you could hear a pin drop as I told the story. You get awesome graphics in addition to a fun and creative way to tell the story. This might be just what you are looking for to help kids understand what the Bible is all about! Available at

Seeds Family WorshipThe Power of Encouragement Vol. 5

This is the fifth album in the Seeds Family Worship collection. This CD gives you great music taken directly from the Word of God. I love Seeds Family Worship! They have done a great job taking the Word of God and putting it to song. The CD packaging itself is cool too! You get two CDs in the package. You can tear the CD cover in half and keep one for yourself and share the other with family or friends! Available at

High Voltage Power Praise for KidsHigh Voltage Power Praise 2

Discovering great music, especially in video format with cool backgrounds and animations, is quite a find. This DVD is no exception. Jump on YouTube and watch a sampler video of the songs before you buy it. You’ll want to snatch this one up. Available at

EE-CubeKids’ EE-Cube

I love these cubes. I’ve had the opportunity to lead many people to Jesus Christ with my Evangecube–many of those being children. I was more than excited when E3 Resources introduced the kid version! This is a must have for every teacher and is also a great tool to give children so they can share their faith. Available at

13 Cool Stories13 Very Cool Stories and Why Jesus Told Them

This resource will help your kids discover 13 very cool stories Jesus told and explore the great truths Jesus wrapped in them. This is perfect for use during adult small groups, in Sunday School, with evening programs and about any time! The lessons are geared to a range of ages, and there’s almost no prep required.
